Our team of injectors are exceptionally qualified nurse practitioners with a passion for aesthetic medicine. They have been hand-selected by Dr. Beard and Dr. Steward and have kind, professional demeanors that will make you feel at ease.

One of our talented injectors will arrive at your home, or venue of choice, wearing Sleeq-branded scrubs and carrying a glittery gold equipment case. They will set up their equipment in a well-lit convenient area, then begin with a consultation and facial assessment in order to tailor the appropriate and most effective treatment for you. Treatments typically take 30 minutes to one hour.

Part of our mission is to provide patients with the most discreet treatment possible. For this reason, our injectors arrive in their personal vehicles.

Sleeq also administers services in the comfort of your home or office to make the experience as convenient and luxurious as possible. For more details, visit our About page.

What should I expect from a neuromodulator (Botox, Dysport) treatment?

Neuromodulators relax muscles and prevent them from contracting by temporarily blocking the nerve signals that cause them to move. When the muscles don’t contract, wrinkles don’t form, and thus expression lines are smoothed away. This helps to improve the appearance of moderate to severe frown lines, crow’s feet and forehead lines.

For three days prior to treatment, avoid any other facial treatments or hair removal. Patients with bleeding disorders or who are prone to easy bleeding should not have treatment. Those with active skin irritation, open wounds, or sores should avoid treatment until the skin heals.

After an assessment of your needs and wishes, our clinician will recommend the number of units and areas of application in order to achieve the most effective results. The injections are relatively painless, perhaps similar to a slight pinching sensation. Injection sites are often initially associated with a small raised area under the skin, like a mosquito bite, which typically resolves within 15 minutes.

The procedure usually lasts less than 30 minutes, after which you should refrain from touching the injection sites or using cold packs.  Avoid lying flat for four hours post injection. Do not exercise or take NSAIDS, like aspirin and ibuprofen(acetaminophen is ok), for 24 hours. Slight bruising can occur, especially in those who bruise easily. Results can be seen within a few days. Maximal effect is achieved by two weeks. Best results are maintained with therapy every three to four months.

What is dermal filler and how does it differ from neuromodulators?

Dermal filler, also known as hyaluronic acid, is used to restore youthful facial contours and improve other signs of aging. Compared to neuromodulators which treat lines and wrinkles associated with expression, dermal filler treats lines and areas of lost subcutaneous fullness that are present at rest. This is common to the cheeks, lips, chin and between the nose and mouth.

For three days prior to treatment avoid any other facial treatments or hair removal. Patients with bleeding disorders or who are prone to easy bleeding should not have treatment. Those with active skin irritation or open wounds or sores should avoid treatment until the skin heals. The treatment begins with applying numbing cream to the selected areas of the face, which takes approximately 20-30 minutes. Repeat treatment at this interval, if not sooner for additional treatment areas, is recommended for best results.

After an assessment of your needs and wishes, our clinician will recommend the specific product, amount, and areas of application in order to achieve the most effective results.

The treatment begins with approximately 20-30 minutes of numbing cream applied to the selected areas of the face. Injection of filler then takes place over the next half hour or so. Discomfort is minimal and temporary, often associated with a pressure sensation. Occasionally, minor bleeding occurs at injection sites, but usually resolves quickly.

Mild soreness for a couple of days after treatment is common.  For 24 hours post treatment, avoid exercise and refrain from taking NSAIDS like aspirin and ibuprofen (acetaminophen is ok). Sleeping face up is preferable to minimize movement of product. Immediately notify your provider if you have any severe pain or skin discoloration.  Results are seen immediately and last from one to two years, depending on the product. Repeat treatment at this interval, if not sooner if additional treatment areas are desired, is recommended for best results.

What does a chemical peel do and what should I expect?

Chemical peels are a valuable addition to any complete skin care regimen. They are a quick and easy adjunctive way to exfoliate, unclog pores, repair sun-damaged skin, reduce fine lines, wrinkles, and uneven skin pigmentation, and encourage new collagen growth. Sleeq offers multiple peel grades and our clinicians will be able to recommend the perfect peel for your concerns.

For three days prior to treatment avoid any other facial treatments or hair removal. Patients with bleeding disorders or who are prone to easy bleeding should not have treatment. Those with active skin irritation or open wounds or sores should avoid treatment until the skin heals.

No post treatment downtime is required. Mild to moderate peeling lasting two to five days is typical. We recommend leaving the peel in place for four to six hours and subsequently applying only sunscreen to your face for the remainder of the day. Peels can be applied monthly to maintain best results.

What is microneedling?

Microneedling causes hundreds to thousands of “micro” skin punctures  to-help stimulate your body’s natural wound healing process; inflammation > proliferation > remodeling. This treatment helps reduce the appearance of acne scarring, fine lines and wrinkles, stretch marks, and large pores, while giving your skin a smoother, more youthful appearance. Treatment is quick, safe ,minimally invasive, and proven clinically effective for all skin tones.

For three days prior to treatment avoid any other facial treatments or hair removal. Patients with bleeding disorders or who are prone to easy bleeding should not have treatment. Those with active skin irritation or open wounds or sores should avoid treatment until the skin heals.

Mild bleeding can occur during treatment, but tends to resolve very quickly. A slightly red appearance to the skin, similar to a mild sun burn, is common for the first 24 hours post treatment. Beyond that, no downtime is required. Optimal results are achieved with three to six monthly treatments.
